This page provides information about common concerns that might arise when providing EU VAT Invoices.
A ‘VAT invoice’ is a document that includes information relating to a transaction, for VAT reporting purposes. Authors/publishers must provide VAT invoices for any digital royalties paid in the EU. Further information regarding the EU VAT invoicing rules and the content of a VAT invoice can be found here. If you are unsure of the requirements, please ask your tax advisor/accountant for more details as your local EU Member State may have additional invoicing requirements.
We require these VAT invoices for our internal VAT control processes.
Yes, please provide a monthly VAT invoice for your digital earnings. An invoice must be provided within 30 days of receiving your finalized royalty report (and in most cases no later than the 15th day of the month following). For example, for March earnings, if you receive your finalized royalty report on April 15, provide your corresponding VAT invoice to us no later than May 15. If you are unsure, please contact your tax advisor as your local EU Member State may impose additional requirements and time limits for raising invoices.
